Beneteau
First 24

The First 24 is the ideal boat for regattas or fast long-distance journeys and represents an unbeatable compromise between performance, portability, and comfort. It accommodates for up to four people in races, and even six people on long-distance journeys. Eight people can be comfortably accommodated for day trips.

Design
Exterior

Designed by Sam Manuard, the First 24 is a high-performance thoroughbred. She has a strong, modern look. Most of the standing rigging is led back to the clutches located on the companionway and two winches combined with jammers make trimming a child’s play. The First 24 performs particularly well in light and medium air, progressing moderately and with ease at speeds of 15 knots. The large luggage compartment in the rear of the cockpit can be reached via two loading hatches. This offers space for fenders and a small internal combustion engine or an electric motor.

Design
Interior

Below deck, the vast open interior of the First 24 has a large forward double berth and single berths on either side of the keel box. An ingenious cushion system means you can unite the two single berths to turn them into a double berth. The table, which can be moved with a transport bag, can be installed inside or in the cockpit. It can also be left on shore to make the boat lighter for racing. A small galley with hob and icebox, chemical toilets, and an electric pack combined with solar panels make the yacht fully autonomous.
